Yampa Ascent is a volunteer-run, community-powered nonprofit dedicated to uplifting students through advanced academic programming in the Yampa Valley. Think of us as the booster club for brilliant, curious kids—the ones who need more than worksheets and test prep. We exist for students who crave challenge, deeper thinking, and the freedom to explore big ideas.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive—not just survive—at school. That’s why 100% of the funds we raise go directly toward student-facing programs that spark curiosity, nurture intellectual passion, and make learning feel alive again.

Our mission is simple:
To empower Yampa Valley children in their pursuit of academic excellence by funding experiences that inspire, challenge, and elevate.

From advanced enrichment classes to academic competitions, from creative problem-solving workshops to hands-on STEM exploration, we invest in programs that ignite the minds of students who may feel overlooked or under-stimulated in traditional classrooms. Our work isn’t about labels—it’s about potential. And it’s about meeting kids where they are, then helping them rise.
